Ultimate Blog Party

***This is a sticky, so please scroll down to see my posts this week!***
Hey everyone! Check out the ultimate blog party at 5 Minutes for Mom! It's a great way to get to know others...

If you are here as part of the blog party, thanks for stopping by & I hope you'll browse around if you see something that interests you. I love "meeting" new people!

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Teri & I am 27 years old. My husband, Gregg & I have been married for just over 3.5 years. We are both teachers. I currently teach preschool after teaching Kindergarten for a while...I love that age group. We love kids & God, camping with my family, vacationing in Disney & at the shore with his family, playing with our kitty Faithy and bowling together on the wii. I also love to cook & scrapbook in my free time. We've been trying for a baby for 2.5 years and it is the hardest thing I've ever had to endure in my whole life. The daily ups and downs are rough - but thank goodness we've got God, friends & family to help us through. We've done 6 artificial inseminations & we've attempted IVF twice, but never made it the whole way through the process, so hopefully our time is coming soon. We're in the process of starting up treatments to do in-vitro again in April-May.

So, in other words, I'm not a mommy, so I hope it's ok that I participate in this blog party! It seems like a lot of fun! God Bless!

PS - I would love to win any of the awesome mommy/baby giveaways (do I have to choose just one?), but my favorite prizes that they're giving away over at the blog party are:
4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 14, 22, 26, 28, 30, 37, 42, 83, 84 & 101...I told you I couldn't just choose one...really, I would love any of them!

I guess my favorite 3 would be:
101 - the woman's devotional bible
37 - the Moby Wrap
84 - a baby sling

Thanks again for stopping by! I'll leave you w/ a pic of hubby & me at a friend's wedding! We were having a great time partying it up! :)

Hi Teri,

Wow! I feel like we have so much in common! My husband and I are wanting a baby, but my PCOVS is seeming to get in the way! I will definetly be a faithful reader of your blog. I left being a preschool teacher because it was so hard being around the kids when I couldn't have my own. I now do early intervention and being one-on-one is not so hard on the heart, but I am about to go back and begin nannying again simply because my arms need a baby to hold again. I can't wait to read more!

Hi, Glad to meet you. Coming from someone on the 'other' end of infertility/and then childbearing years, I know what you're going thru. I have been blessed with 2 daughters 20 & 6. I tell everyone it just took us a while to catch on! But in reality it took us 5 1/2 years for the first one and 11 years for the second. No fertility intervention, just lots of prayer and thankfulness and letting God do the rest! So, not meaning at all to sound cliche-ish, hang in there. Children are an inheritance from the Lord! Have a blessed week.

Hi! I found your blog through the UBP. I'm so sorry to read of your infertility, but glad to see that you are believing and trusting in God. My husband and I suffered through secondary infertility for many year, and have lost two babies (one to a tubal pregnancy and another to miscarriage).
Since those days, we've adopted 2 children from Vietnam. God is good and He has a plan.
Hope you'll stop by my blog sometime.

I'm an infertility survivor. We adopted our 1st son after 7 years of infertility. 5 years (and one miscarriage) later we added our daughter and 2 years later another son. (The last two were by birth). I remember well the pain of those days.

Hi! Thanks for popping by my blog! Oh my, we waited 3 long years for our little boy to come along--and it WAS one of the most faith-testing times of my life. He is now 5 and we got pregnant with his sister immediately! As we look back on it, we realize that he came right on time!

Hi Teri, what a lovely intro! And that picture of you and your hubby is wonderful. My sister-in-law Julia is going through the same fertility issue. They have been trying for over 2 years now and have only just been able to see a specialist a couple months ago. Anyway, if you would like to read her blog (she's a new blogger) her link is on my sidebar.

Anyway, happy blog party!

It took us over 3 years to conceive our daughter. We were too afraid of what the doctors would tell us so we just kept trying and trying. We closed the deal on our house and moved in within two days. Low and behold, a month later we found out our daughter was on the way! I think for me, I was just too stressed and moving into our OWN place released a bunch of that stress and the conditions were finally right to conceive. Good luck and God bless you both. Just remember, perfection takes time ;)

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I just read your intro post and I have to say thanks for reminding me to stop and embrace the blessings of life, including my sick, fussy, "I-now-have-a-mind-of-my-own" toddler who wants to watch endless episodes of Curious George. Sometimes I get to muttering and complaining and then God comes along and gives me a well-needed attitude adjustment. :-D I'll be adding your blog to my favorites so I can remember to pray for you. May God give you the desire of your heart! (Psalm 20)

Thanks for sharing your heart and your journey. It's awesome that you feel confident enough to be vulnerable with other women in your life. Best wishes as you move forward with IVF this spring.

Of course it is ok for you to participate in this blog party!!! As I have looked through some of the blog party posts and seen people without children post almost apologetically, I feel so bad for them. I remember those days so well of wanting, aching, and begging to become a mommy. I could not stay in a church service when there was a baptism because it hurt too much to see the babies and parents while I had such a burning desire in my heart. I hope your next treatment goes well. I will keep you in my prayers and be back to check out your status.

Stopping by from 5 Minutes for Mom. I was drawn to your blog because my sister is struggling with infertility. I try to be supportive and understanding but I fully realize I have no idea what she's going through. I plan to stop back to read more of your journey.

Blessings~

Hi, Teri. Thanks for adding me! I've only made a few of Pioneer Woman's recipes. We loved the Christmas cookies and the bread pudding. I'll probably make the apple dumplings this weekend and then will blog about it on Monday. I love trying out new things!!

I hope to see a birth announcement on here soon!
